Google Started Testing out the New Search Engine Results Page

Two days ago, Google has started to testing the new design of their search engine results page with new color schemes and more white spaces.

A Google spokesperson affirmed that they have started taking one of its user tests. As you can see the redesigned results page with tweaked color scheme in below screenshot. The purples, greens and blues are not as abrasive as the current set of colors used on Google.com Search Engine Result Pages.

There is merely a lot of white spaces around each search results and links. Each search results is also divided by a dashed line. These bigger changes focus on separating and spacing out individual search results.

Combined, the alters are rather dramatic for a search engine used by millions of individuals daily. Google is collecting data on how people respond to the new alters. This data will determine whether or not these alters will move out of testing and get permanent.

This isn’t the only Google testing to make headlines this month. On last Monday(May 2, 2011), the tech giant began testing Voice Search integration on Google.com.

Note: Few months before itself Google Voice Search Integration had been done in mobile applications.

Check out below screenshot, and let us know what you think of the alters in the comments.
