Later on Google provided NOODP tag option to webmasters to overcome this update. <meta name=”robots” content=”noodp”> Adding the above NOODP tag is to inform Google not to use any of the text links from ODP as Title tag in SERPs. Twitter and Microsoft's (NASDAQ:MSFT) search engine found a way to do what Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Twitter could not, agreeing to renew their deal to integrate tweets in Bing's search engine. A Twitter spokesperson couched the news via a faux tweet exchange between Twitter and Bing on Storify, which included this line: "Search w/o Twitter = old news. You & @MSN are amazing at using Tweets to make search better & help people stay in the know." The companies also pledged to "do bigger and better things." Source : http://goo.gl/lhl8Q

Reorganizing internal vs. external backlinks in Google Webmasters Tool

The recent change in Google Webmasters Tool was made only to classify the internal & external links to help the webmasters to know the actual backlinks coming from other domains. And it won’t affect our current SERP position. If you own ( domains verified under a single webmaster account ) a site that’s on a subdomain (such as property.sulekha.com ) and don’t own the root domain ( Sulekha.com ), you’ll still only see links from URLs starting with that subdomain ( property.sulekha.com )in your internal links, and all others( yellowpages.sulekha.com , foods.sulekha.com, Sulekha.com etc) will be categorized as external links. Google Webmasters Tool have made a few backend changes so that these numbers should be even more accurate for you.
