Reorganizing internal vs. external backlinks in Google Webmasters Tool

The recent change in Google Webmasters Tool was made only to classify the internal & external links to help the webmasters to know the actual backlinks coming from other domains. And it won’t affect our current SERP position.

If you own (domains verified under a single webmaster account) a site that’s on a subdomain (such as property.sulekha.com) and don’t own the root domain (Sulekha.com), you’ll still only see links from URLs starting with that subdomain (property.sulekha.com)in your internal links, and all others(yellowpages.sulekha.com, foods.sulekha.com, Sulekha.com etc) will be categorized as external links. Google Webmasters Tool have made a few backend changes so that these numbers should be even more accurate for you.
